Position Value Proposition:
The Accounting Manager is a highly valued business advisor to the Leadership Team, the accounting staff, and the entire organization.
The Manager is accountable for maintaining accurate, relevant, and timely financial reports and records and the management of all aspects of the financial processes.
The Manager will direct multi-business unit and operational accounting to ensure the effective and efficient utilization of the materials, human resources and asset base, while maintaining appropriate internal controls to assure compliance with good financial policies and procedures in safeguarding the company’s assets.
Core Responsibilities: Provide accurate, relevant, and timely financial information Supervise and maintain accountability for accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inter-company transactions, financial statement preparation, and month end closing in accordance with company policies and closing deadlines.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal company policies.
Review transactions to ensure proper usage of new accounting standards around revenue recognition and leases.
Perform ad hoc analysis as required Manage workflows with internal and external audits.
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions Key Management Processes: Taxes (Sales taxes, income taxes, property taxes, other taxes, government surveys) Systems (Procedure/system design, procedure documentation, compliance) Insurance (property & casualty management, auto liability management, product liability management, workers’ compensation management, Managers and officers liability management, business interruption management) General Ledger (Balance sheet management, account reconciliation, month end closings) Financial Reporting (Monthly financial results – organization, Leadership Team, Board, and external, daily/weekly reporting, business education) Fixed Assets (Asset tracking, CEA tracking, deprecation records) Other Activities ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job responsibilities and functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform.

CPA Certificate, CMA or other certifications a plus.
Work Experience 5+ years related business experience.
2+ years of public accounting experience.
Sage ERP experience is a plus.
