Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations within the organization
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Monitor and evaluate nursing practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage medical records and ensure confidentiality and security of patient information
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Stay updated on current trends and advancements in nursing administration and healthcare systems
Skills:
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or equivalent degree
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and nursing practices
- Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility is preferred
- Excellent documentation review skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in managing medical records and utilizing electronic health record systems
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals
