Financial Controller

Responsibilities: - Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting - Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards - Manage the month-end and year-end close processes - Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports - Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets - Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits - Provide financial analysis and support to senior management - Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships - Conduct regular reviews of financial procedures and make recommendations for improvement - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including experience in public accounting - Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting principles - Proficiency in QuickBooks, McLeod, or similar accounting software - Solid understanding of financial concepts, including double-entry bookkeeping, debits/credits, and financial forecasting - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
